User Guide

Learn how to use ENTRIQ's main features.

1. Sign up & Sign in

ENTRIQ requires a Clerk account. You can start in a few minutes with just an email address.

  1. Click the Sign up button in the top right
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Click the verification link in your email
  4. Registration complete — 14-day trial starts automatically

2. Create a symbol list / Add symbols

When you first start, your symbol list is empty. Before starting a replay, create a symbol list and add the symbols you want to practice with.

Note: The interface shown is in English

  1. Open the "Symbols" tab in the right panel (on first use, it shows "No lists yet")
  2. Click the pencil icon at the top right to open "Manage symbol lists"
  3. Click "+ Create new list", enter a list name, and click "Create"
  4. In the list you created, click "+ Add symbol"
  5. In "Search & add symbol", type a ticker or name (e.g. AAPL)
  6. You can filter by category (All / US stocks / FX / Crypto / Commodity)
  7. Press "Add" on the symbol you want (already-added symbols show "Added")
  8. Once the symbol is in the list, you're ready. From now on, pick symbols from this list

3. Pick a symbol & start replay

Select a symbol → choose a timeframe → press Start to enter replay mode. Simulate from any past point.

  1. Pick a symbol from the 'Symbol' tab in the right panel (e.g. AAPL)
  2. Under 'Display timeframes' in the gear (settings) at the top left, check the timeframes you use, then pick the one to display/trade from the 'Trade' dropdown at the top left (1m / 5m / 15m / 30m / 1h / 2h / 4h / Daily / Weekly / Monthly)
  3. Click the bar where you want to start
  4. Press the Start button in the right panel
  5. A blue vertical line marks the verify start, replay mode begins

4. Place a buy / sell order

Enter margin, leverage, and quantity in the right panel. Execution is today's close or tomorrow's open; dual positions (long + short) are allowed depending on the instrument.

  1. Enter Margin or Buy Qty / Sell Qty in the right panel
  2. For FX / Commodity / Crypto, set Leverage (US stocks are fixed at 1x)
  3. Notional and Effective Leverage are computed automatically
  4. Choose execution: today's close or tomorrow's open
  5. Press Next — order is filled and one bar advances
  6. B (buy open) / S (sell open) marker appears on the chart
  7. Dual positions (long + short on the same symbol) are supported

5. Close positions (full / partial)

Close held positions. Use Close All for full close, or change the quantity for partial close.

Note: The interface shown is in English

  1. Full close: press Close All in the right panel
  2. Partial close: reduce Buy Qty / Sell Qty, then Next
  3. bX (buy close) / sX (sell close) marker appears
  4. Realized P&L is added to Total P&L

6. Random start

Pick a random point from the symbol's full history to start replay. Useful for unbiased practice.

  1. Press the Random Start button in the right panel
  2. A random bar is selected and marked with the blue line
  3. Replay starts from there

7. Pause and save

Save a session in progress and resume from where you left off later.

  1. Press Pause & Save in the right panel
  2. Select a strategy tag (optional)
  3. Saved session appears in /trades as Resumable
  4. Click Resume in the trade list to continue

8. Review trade history

View saved trades at /trades. Filter, search, and review in detail.

  1. Click Trades in the header
  2. Pick a trade from the list
  3. Review chart + trade markers + P&L on the detail page
  4. Use AI analysis for improvement insights (uses AI credits, available on all plans)
  5. Write reflections in the 'Trade Note' area; cross-browse via the Notes list (see §12)

9. Tag strategies

Tag trades by strategy to aggregate later. Each tag is bound to one market (US stocks / Commodity / Crypto / FX) at creation time.

  1. Create tags at /tags (e.g. 'Breakout', 'Pullback Buy')
  2. Pick a market on creation (US / Commodity / Crypto / FX); the market cannot be changed later
  3. On trade save, only tags matching the trade's market appear as candidates
  4. Tags can also be attached from the trade detail page
  5. Review win rate, P&L, and market-specific metrics (shares / lots / leverage) at /analysis

10. Drawing tools

Draw horizontal lines, trendlines, and text on the chart. Drawings are saved per symbol × timeframe.

  1. Pick a drawing mode from the toolbar
  2. Click on the chart (hline = 1 click, trendline = 2 clicks)
  3. Text: click → type → Shift+Enter to commit
  4. Click a drawing to select, drag to move, Delete to remove
  5. Toggle drawing visibility with the eye icon (data is kept). When the eye is OFF, the pencil (drawing) button is disabled.

11. Multi-display setup

Pop out the chart to another window in dual / triple monitor setups (Standard / Premium only).

  1. Click the Monitor icon in the top right
  2. Choose dual or triple mode
  3. A new window opens — drag it to another monitor
  4. Synced automatically with the main window (BroadcastChannel)

12. How to use Notes

Record reflections per trade, then cross-search and browse the full text on the list page — a feature for accumulating reflection assets.

  1. Write reflections in the 'Trade Note' area on the trade review screen
  2. Insert structured templates (Full Review / Simple Review) for 5 or 2 sections instantly
  3. Save explicitly with the 'Save' button; 'First saved / Last updated' timestamps reflect in real time
  4. Open the list from the 'Notes' link in the header → filter by period / strategy tag / result, sort, and full-text search
  5. Edited notes get an '✏️ Updated' badge to visualize the reflection lifecycle
